Surfing
Surfing is a major sport in Australia attracting some of thevworld's best competitors every year. Surfing is regarded as a way of life and a part of the great Australian culture. Australia is known to be the home to some of the great waves in the world, and a major surfing destination! Its long stretches of scenic coasts are constantly pounded by swells, allowing surfers to find quality waves most times round the year and has played host to several international championships. Australia offers some of the best surfing gear and equipment and is one of the leading surf industries in the world.
Sports
Sport in Australia plays an important role in many aspects of the Australian lifestyle. Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre
The AUD $127 million Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) officially opened on 29 June 2004, providing the Gold Coast with its first and Queensland with its third convention centre. Conveniently located in the heart of the Gold Coast, it is Australia’s largest regional convention centre, capable of handling corporate and association conferences and meetings, national and international incentives, banquets, exhibitions, concerts, sporting and special events.
